Unless a home is on a sloped lot, its most common to have a slab foundation. Looking for only crawlspace homes does limit our choices.

Some people are afraid of their being a plumbing problem in a slab. During the 1980′s there was a substandard plastic pipe that was used in construction. have seen several incidences of homes built in that period that has in slab plumbing leaks. In homes built before and after that period I have only seen one leak. It was caused by the plumber not putting enough glue on a 20 cent fitting.

We are looking to move from the middle GA area to Huntsville homes for sale in the next 6-9 months (hubby may have to come sooner).

Let me tell you what we are looking for and maybe you could do a “search” for us…

We want to stay around $200,000, brick, crawl space, 4 bedrooms, fenced in back yard, would love a seperate garage for the hubby to putter in - either near the Madison area or out past Whitesburg? (or a nice neighborhood)

Would love to have a little land, but prob. won’t get that for the price we need to stay near.

Good school district, not too much traffic, etc.

I know this house pretty well, we managed the house as a rental for this owner a few years ago. It is a nice home on a cul-de-sac in an desirable area. Huntsville homes for sale It is very near where I live. The back yard is a little small and there is not a detached garage.
