I did get by the house yesterday and did an inspection. It was pouring rain so didn't get to see as much outside as I would have liked. Overall the house looks fine but there was a bad, musty odor, the house needs cleaning and the lawn and shrubs need attention. We have had horrible experiences with First American, American Home Sheild and Old Republic, all the large companies. Out of fustration we started looking for another provider and have found. http://www.hwahomewarranty.com/ We have placed several warranties and so far have been impressed. Here is the current and expired homes for sale in Huntsville listing. It was listed at $230,000 in 8/08 and then dropped to $139,000. The listing was withdrawn 12/9/08.
